La Carihuela , in the province of Malaga, Spain. It is an old fishing district located in the southwest of the municipality of Torremolinos, along the beach of La Carihuela.

According to different versions, the name La Carihuela can be translated as fishing village. Due to the difference in height from the central core of Torremolinos, about 30 meters, La Carihuela underwent an evolution alien to the town of Torremolinos and its milling industry.
